i like the functinality of KPT® Equalizer™. It can be a very very smart addon for the new Vray fully loaded Virtual Frame buffer.

why not build a whole 2d application into the VFB?

what are talking about.. it will not turn VFB in to a 2d app.
and we dont want that.
sometimes it is really anoying to switch softwares just to do a simple modification. And i think it will be great addon next to color correction curve editor.
i think 3 major tools can be in VFB are…
Color corrector ( i think this is already planed)
Exposure Control (like in HDRshop)
Equalizer
and i was thinking probably MultiPass rendering options can be also under VFB..
