Im trying to render a simulation and now Im getting this message and I cant render at all that scene. (I override already the scene)
Ok. I think I can reproduce the Problem.
When you create your simulation using Phoenix FD and ad a physical vRay cam you will get this error and no matter what you do will not longer render …
UNTIL !!!
you close MaYa and start a new render.
There is a huge problem. IMO.
Reopening MaYa is not the solution should we have.
Hey, we just fixed an rendering crash that would happen when you have only shadow breaking but no lighy linking for the simulator, or … when you open Maya with hypeshade open (it creates lights that participate in shadow breaking under the hood). Please check if this is what makes it crash for you and grab a latest nightly build.

hmmm. I experienced that also. At least something similar.
I will doble check.
But Im not having any bad experience about lighing and hypershade at the moment.

Hey, you wouldn’t know anything goes wrong with Hypershade, it’s under the hood.
@waaazoo , this might be the issue you were having as well - please ping us if you have had the time to check and if it does make a difference… or if it doesn’t
