Any ideas what is causing the flickerage in this clip?
http://www.jscottsmith.com/ng-misc/08-041\_vrcQuad2.wmv
Two specific issues I’m wondering about…
(1) Why is the alpha around the horizon trees flickering so horribly? (The sky is currently a flat color as a placeholder.)
(2) What is causing the flickering in the pine needles and long grass? (Currently using Adaptive DMC 2/3, with video filter)
Thx!
Scott
your aliasing samples are way to low for such complex scene. Higher sampling will solve the problem.

Yup. Thanks Dmitry.
Hours after I read my own post, I almost answered it.

Fixed!
Thanks again Dmitry.
Here is a different clip that I rendered with higher sampling.

@duke2 : Same as before, but DMC 1/10 for this one
@mcnamex : (5) 64bit quad cores … so far averaging around 12-15 min per frame. Much higher than I like to go for, but hard to find another way to make 1000s of trees look good
