Floating License Queries

Hi,

I work in an interior design firm and my boss is actually interested to purchase a floating license where we, designers, can use for rendering. I have little knowledge on how this software works so I’ll just list all my queries:

  1. Is there a limit to how many seats/machines can a license hold? Will there be a succeeding payment if we opt to add more seats?

  2. Given that the floating license is used on multiple computers, can all the Enscape windows opened on different computers be accessed at the same time? For example, can we all be rendering at the same time when we are using just one license?

  3. Is it recommendable to use a different license key per user?

I hope to hear from this forum, thank you.

Hi @camillefresco

With a floating license you will receive a license key, which you can activate on as many systems you want.

Whenever you open Enscape, 1 seat is filled, up to a maximum of the number of seats you purchase. The seat is freed as soon as you close the Enscape window.

This means: If you use a floating license, the total number of machines that use Enscape at a time must be equal or less than the number of seats you own.

To use different license keys is possible but I think more of a personal preference.

You can always contact our licensing department at for more information or to increase the number of seats.
