Problem - I too am having problems rendering with an AMD 8350.
I have followed all of the advice in that thread, and have even upgraded my motherboard.
I have, however, narrowed the problem down to VRAY rendering slowly only during a phase that is calculating irradiance map and brute force.
Once that phase is done - then it renders just fine.
My CPU isn’t being throttled - it’s well cooled at about 45c during the animation prepass render.
This leads me to think there may be an issue with VRAY using floating point calculations for some things and not others - as the 8350 apparently has 8 cores, but only 4 floating point units, so 4 of the cores are floating point.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
