Focal Point and Depth of Field easier to edit

Although this is a similar request to this one here ( Default 90º FOV used for batch export ), its an old one and a bit different in my perspective and probably easier to implement…

What if WE could get two sliders, one to edit the focal point (distance of focus) and a second one for the percentage of DOF? This what photographers always change for each picture, so WE should do the same for renders. Using these two parameters from the visual settings does not work, it forces us to have one preset per render if WE want to batch them and there are no two renders with the same distance to focus and percentage of dof. WE just need to take these two sliders and the auto focus checkbox from visual settings and place them on VIEW MANAGEMENT

Since WE already have presets for Linked Visual Preset and Linked Light Preset on view management, lets just have also here a slider for these two parameters and one checkbox.

Please think also as a photographer framing and then setting the focus over a target that could be off center, and playing with depth of field to emphasize its focus. With all pics set, WE could then “bake it” and batch render all at once with one Visual Setting preset but several focus distances and dof…

I think I requested something similar a while back to solve the batch render option. I believe the only workaroud is to add a “z depth” chanel and then have to process in photoshop afterwards.

Yes @liam_hardie , that works but WE get more work than WE should or need… Veras now also has a way to create dof but in my opinion things can be way more simple. Hope our requests are attended…

I used to use Thea render and it had the ability to save per scene settings for batches, including DOF, so it must be possible.
