Hi everyone,
Just wanted to pass along that a free 1-hour live webinar will be conducted by 3DATS on Wed. Oct 21st on the subject of ‘image sampling’. The instructor is Brian Smith, who taught the same class at our booth at SIGGRAPH this year, so I know it will be great. Tune in if you can. If you can’t, you can still register to download a copy of the presentation afterwards. I know they plan to do more of these if there is enough interest from the community. Checkout the link for more information.
signed up, look forward to it (if the boss gives me the time)
Just for kicks, we’ll give away a free copy of our new 3ds Max Advanced to Expert book (http://3dats.com/expert\_book/) to the first 10 people that make a reply to this post saying that they’ve registered to attend the webinar (takes about 20 seconds). To be fair, a max of 1 copy per country. Due to the fact that shipping this monster overseas cost us $40 (and that is the cheapest by far), the only thing I would insist on is that overseas receivers pay shipping. To reduce any import fees, the package will say “Gift”.
When I have 10 people to send book to, I’ll post details about how to order.

Ah. One per country.
Registered regardless.
well darn, i didn’t notice until now that few of you guys have a country listed…sorry but as it says, i can only offer 10, and to be fair to those asleep at this time, am limiting it to one book per country. please edit your post to indicate what country you are from.
we do a lot of these things via twitter (first come first serve), so if you missed out this time, you can get in on the next one by registering at our site http://3dats.com/sign\_up.asp
we also have a lot of free tutorials and are just a couple of weeks away from commissioning some incredible talent to create 1 hour long webinars like the one I am doing. Some of the names that helped create the Advanced to Expert book will be helping.
hopefully since this is all free stuff, it’s not coming across as an advertisement.
