Very cool…!

looks nice! a bit strange that the box stays on top of the rocker though 8)

that is pretty cool!!

nice, i really like the one where just loads and loads of blocks fall and just hit the ground - looks great.
Moblur is great, especially on the last one!
Love the rendering style.

Just think one or two of the weights need a bit of tweeking, but i know how much of a pain it can be to constantly tweek these things especially when you’ve simulated one thing and like a certain aspect of it.

hey someone found the reactor tab! HAHA j/k

very nice…i tried something like that in reactor once but couldn’t get the dynamics and collisions like that. any tut’s you recommend?

he

i like the first one it rocks! =P

Sweet

I love these - I have played with reactor quite a bit but never really had the patience to develop such a great sense of weight - I love these, my favourite is when the big ball just lands onto of the bricks - I think it might have somewhat of a softbody it seems to squash down which is great.

Very funny ! It may be intresting to see the big ball falling in slow motion

Is this possible to do that in MAX 7 ?

I really liked the video.

Any tips on the render settings for animation? I thought you might have been using the new render settings in vray final but just noticed that you have used RC3.

You have inspired me to have a play about tonight - last time I tried something like this the reactor thing just kept crashing after it have calculated about 2 seconds of the animation - that was with 32bit max8 though, I am interested to see if the 64bit 3ds max 9 has resolved my problems.

Good work!

funny tests

quoted for agreement, lol.
Can’t wait to see what you’ll pull off commercially from it!

so when will we see a version of DOF Pro for AE???

!!! :!:

That would be interersting (dof pro ae), but can it be a realtime effect ? As in PS it works not in realtime. Even not near to realtime.

Ok heres a stupid question, Ive done stuff with blocks like that before with reactor but how do you position the objects when you are stacking them? I could never get the spacing right between the blocks and if I used snap to put them together it would bitch that they were intersecting so I had to leave a small gap which would cause the wall to collapse or settle slightly when running the simulation… Then again this was with I think max 6 or 7 :stuck_out_tongue:

the easiest way is to let the sim settle, say before frame 0, and run the proper one afterwards.

Richard,

Now all you have to do is put everything together and make yourself a Rube Goldberg machine…

I actually found one that I did a couple years ago… Web Page Under Construction
