It’s all a matter of will and effort. I’m sure that if ASGvis put their mind in to VrayFur for SU it’ll happen. But their hands are full so maybe one day… :

but you still need to explode the “components” and “groups” to be able to render it with Vray (at least version 1.05.30), how about with the new version anyone?

No - no exploding needed.
You might be experiencing the old group bug, where in some cases groups didn’t render. However, if you close and reload the SU model they should render again.

Yup, I just tested, it’s the old group bug. If you reopen the file you can render - without exploding anything.

Uploading someone else’s files is not good. But the thread itself it fine. robert111 in the second post, posted the link to the SCF thread where one can find the plugin.
What I’m saying is:
Share the link, but not the file.
