hi, i was asked by a colleague to plug a falloff-texture into the density-map-slot in order to distribute my fur. vray for cinema does that trick. in maya it didn’t work. had to plug the falloff-texture through a ramp in order to get it to run. but i was not able to get any visual feedback out of …

the ramp setup works when you plug it straight it doesn’t
