I am new to this, so apologies if I ask something simple or just need directions to where it has already been addressed.
My kid as a set of Oculus Quest 2 VR goggles and currently we are getting a new house designed. The architect is sending us links to an enscape file we can view and navigate in online. Already here it is amazing, but is there any way we can view and navigate inside the house using my kid’s goggles?
We have both Mac and Windows PC at hand and we can also get the file of the house as an .exe file.
What do I need to do to make that work if possible?
it will jump through a few steps of installation and downloading
Once this is done, you need to connect via high speed USB 3.0 cable. Your PC will also need to support this : look for one labeled USB SS (super speed)
The Quest 2 charging cable can work, but might be too short to use. Test it , but Otherwise, jump on amazon and get a Quest link cable.
When using the Quest Headset, you go to settings: Quick settings: oculus link
The connected laptop should pick up your headset and the Oculus PC interface should load.
Start up your enscape file and click the VR button.
You might want to turn the visual settings down to draft or medium
You should see a view of what the headset is seeing on the PC screen and you should get a VR view in the headset.
Hello Adam, thanks for the info , do you ever had the issue of the VR view shaking while using it ? i have a quest 2 and using the rhino enscape file in my computer connected with the link cable. It keeps shaking while moving inside the model. All other softwares work fine, unfortunately only enscape has this issues ,
