Can anybody explain to me when & how to use the 3 different kind of Color Mapping, please(Linear/Exp./HSV)?
Thank you
-use linear mapping for perfect automatic lighting.
-use exponential mapping on fridays.
-hsv can be used in addition to speedup rendering times 230%.
for more info use “search button”
- linear mapping won’t add any filtering to your image…no light filtering that is
- HSV esponential will filter/reduce the bright areas of your image trying to help avoiding burnouts from overlighting…this way you can have more intense light w/ out blowing out parts of your scene…however it messes w/ your saturation…tends to desaturate the general image…
-exponential…haven’t messed much w/ this one, but it does a similar thing to the HSV but w/ out the desaturation part…actually sometimes the colors look more vivid whe using this one…
…I’m sure there is a lot of good past topics on this on this forum…as well as www.vray.info …
