I tried to open some interior scenes that I created in sketchup and used maxwell render as the engine. Now when I go to open the previous files i get the spinning ball of death and i have to force quit sketchup after 5 minutes or so. I actually just want to open these files to reuse some geometry and since i cant, It looks like my only option is to uninstall. Is anyone else having this issue?
Re: I can no longer open previous sketchup files that are large in size
how large are we talking?
Have you tried letting it run for longer?
Which version are you using? With the latest you can simply go to Preferences and disable VfSU under Extensions.

Thanks for the reply Thomthom
The smallest file size i had trouble with was 80megs but most were around 150megs. I have let it run longer and it will eventually crash. I have the latest version of sketchup and the 30day download of VRAY. I had no idea you could disable the extensions in sketchup and that worked perfect. Thanks for the tip!

Ha. Great idea! I just started using vray 3 days ago but so far its great. Im used to maxwell render but i feel the learning curve with Vray is easier. I just hope these bugs get fixed and i will be sure to buy it after the 30day trial is over.
