IES profiles for spot lighting not giving consistent results

Hi,

I’m currently creating a model of the Barcelona pavilion for an Enscape course i’m about to give for one of our clients.

I noticed whilst testing that spot lights created with the Enscape object window, using an IES profile, do not give consistent results. The first light (on the left) has a larger beam of light, than the last one. Everything in between seems to get slightly dimmer ever light.

All lights placed are the same component so they should be identical. Without the IES profile they do give equal lighting results.

Am i doing somthing wrong or is this a bug? I found another thread on this which seemed to suggest this is a bug, but it was over a year old.

Are you sure they are exactly parallel with the wall?

You’d get what you’re seeing if the far one is close to the wall and they progressively get further way.

I copied the with the wall as a reference so they’re definitely parallel to the wall

hmm, Make sure they are also the same height off the ground plane.

They are all placed on the floor so they should be all on the same height. I did notice though when i place a line light it is angled in a weird way. (with weird I mean not following the Axis of my model) Maybe this has something to do with the surrounding i found on the 3D warehouse, and the odd lighting pattern is related to the same thing?

I added a screenshot of the line lights orienting diagonally to my axis.

@jens.lathouwers , is there perhaps a way to simply share the project with me so I can have a look at it myself too? You can upload the file or a reduced version of it to wetransfer.com and send me the link through a DM.

Any update?

I have similar problem
