At the moment I am using 1.5 on 3dsmax 8. I need to render some old scenes that need max 7 on the same machine. The problem I am having is that when I install V-Ray 1.5 into max 7 the installer sees the current V-Ray max 8 install and won’t install into max 7 without uninstalling the max 8 V-Ray first. I need to have V-Ray running with both versions of Max due to some plug-ins used in the older Max scenes that won’t work in my max 8 setup. I would think that I could copy the max 8 V-Ray files into max 7 directories but I’m not sure what files I need to copy and don’t want to mess things up.
