I have Max 8 and Viz 2007 here at work, is there any way to install 1.5 so both programs can see it? I have it working fine in Max 8, I tried copying the plugins over to Viz 2007 but when I go to change the renderer to Vray it crashes Viz.
You’ve probably missed some file when you copied those and it remained from an older build of V-Ray. What you can do is to run the installation and specify some temp folder as the 3dsmax root folder (and a \plugins folder inside it for the plugins), and then copy the whole directory tree to the VIZ root folder. Ideally there will be a separate installation for VIZ so that it doesn’t conflict with the 3dsmax one.

Will the max 8 version of vray 1.5 work with viz 2006 or do I need to wait until you get the viz 2006 compatible version posted?
