Intersection of surfaces ... (beta9)

… bring a black color. If I render the scene per Rhino renderer Treefrog, it is shown good.

Intersection of surfaces … (beta9)

Are these just 2 overlapping boxes, or there is some boolean operation on them?

Best regards,

Intersection of surfaces … (beta9)

Micha, that won’t work in vray, boolean them!

You should always model like the objects are in the real world for best results. Overlapping geometry will render bad. In rhino renderer this is not a problem, but it becomes one when you give both objects a different material. So it’s never a good idea to model like this.

Intersection of surfaces … (beta9)

Yes, it’s true, but if it could be fixed, than it would help to hide some small imperfections of the model.

Try setting the ray bias in the global options to 0.001

edit: tried it, but doesn’t work, maybe this parameter isn’t implemented yet. I believe the ray bias is there to solve these specific situations

Thank you for your trying.
