What a pain! Every time I open a browser my IPR starts over. I don’t touch anything in the VFB, I just open Chrome and things start over.
It’ll also start over when I close Chrome.
Hey Bobby,
Which V-Ray version? Also, is this scene-related?
Best regards,
Vlado
I am using the latest stable and it happens once in awhile and not on many projects.
My IPR doesn’t starts over
… I change the color of a light and nothing… turn off some lights or On.. and Nothing… What a mess !
Surprising, I had the same problem with IPR yesterday … In fact, I just had to move the mouse and the IRP started again
I don’t know why but today, everything is fine (max2015/Vray 3.60.04)
I tried to replicate that but it worked fine in my tests.
Would it be possible to send us the scene and some steps to follow to replicate the issue.
Also what’s the Chrome and Windows version?
Can you test with older version like 3.60.03 or bellow or with V-Ray Next Beta 2?
Would it be possible to send us that scene for investigation?
Also could you specify the versions of V-Ray and 3dsMax that you are using?
New project same problem. I started a rendering, left for a road trip and 8 hours later I zoom in to check the quality and it started over! I’ll email this scene.
Super, we’ll check it. Did you send it to support@chaosgroup.com?
Also how often the issue occurs? Should we wait for 8 hours or there is a way to replicate it faster?
OK I checked everywhere but couldn’t find anything.
If scene is sent to support@chaosgroup.com you should have automatic reply with Ticket Number, can you give me that number?
Waiting two hours for my render, went to save EXR and it started over! I’ll zip this one up and send it over.
Still can’t find anything. Let me know when the file is sent.
Ticket number or subject would be very helpful to find it easier.
The workflow here is wrong. IPR is intended to be used for interactive changes while working on a scene. When you are ready with those, then for the final image use the Production render. IPR can restart rendering due to many reasons, some of them beyond our control.
That’s news to me. I use it for proofs, prior to going into final production.
