Incredible, what did you use to spread all those proxies around and what were your render times like?

I have no clue how you guys do this amazing stuff. The resources it takes must be amazing!

Thanx guys, the proxy objects are spread with objectPainter script from soulburn scripts package. Render time is about 1 hour per frame on a dual quadcore xeon machine with 16bg ram. We render it on our renderfarm.

That’s a large space to fill with vegetation. Can you post a wireframe image of one of your frames?

1 hr / frame is excellent benchmark for so much vegetation and so few artifacts (if any at all). mind sharing yr sampling settings? motion blur! hot hot stuff.
