Here, is one that I am working on. I am waiting for colors, but the modeling is done. From start-to-finish it took three days to model. I modeled it using image files, which was old school, and a blast!
I’ll post the back in about an hour
could do with sum textures and…maybe a few tree. ![]()
Well, that’s the fun part. I am waiting on textures, materials, and landscape plan.
looking good so far!
Although I must say I prefer the front. I don’t like a house on such a heavy sloped terrain, unless it’s going down to the beach ![]()
weird detail, the overhung meets the window on the back elevation(on the right).I also prefer the front elevation
Nice work Bobby! I’m always partial to the bleached look but I think the warmth of the first image is more appealing.
It has a good feel- where do you get the trees?
Thanks, guys. I am swapping back and forth, on my iPad, to see which one I like better. So far, it’s the bleached one. The trees are from the iTree library. I’ll have to check to see which library, but I have all of them, except the snow trees and palms.
There is a piece of siding on the right in different color, did you tint the siding in post?.. The color of the metal roof on top of the garage looks tinted as well
If the idea of that roof was that it looks like copper with patina on it I think the green is a bit off and it’s too reflective.
I noticed that reflective part of the siding, but I am not sure what happened. I am making some changes to the model so I’ll investigate, The metal roof is bronze. so I’ll work on that, too.[quote=“flino2004, username:flino2004”]

Nice work! I like the bleached look as well. The watercolor version is a little to overdone IMO.
thanks. it’s going through some changes, which I’ll post tomorrow.
Hi Bobby,
I don’t think the watercolor one looks overdone at all, in fact I like it better than the first one. The only thing I’d comment on is the lighting and the sky which looks a bit too overcast to my taste. Apart from the that I tried my best to find something to criticize but you’ve got nice details everywhere and that’s one thing that sets you apart right now, you pay a lot of attention to detail.
Thank you! I wanted that white birch to pop against the darker sky, but I agree, maybe a little to much. To create depth I wanted the top of the sky to be darker, too[quote=“yyk, username:yyk”]
