I know this topic has come up in the past, but is there any plan at all for Vantage to eventually be able to live link with another PC on your network? I can’t be the only one who has a more powerful (and way more vram) render node on the network that I want to render my animations with - which also frees up my workstation to continue working on other things. Right now, I’m stuck using the vrscene export method – which works, but is so frustratingly slow to export and then even more slow to load into Vantage - likely because of the huge vrscene files that come with animations.
Why don’t you use livelink via windows remote desktop?
I assume you mean open 3ds Max and the scene on the other computer and live link that way? My other computer is strictly a render node, therefore it doesn’t have a Max license.
