Loading to Cloud Render Slow

Loading a render for cloud rendering seems awfully slow. Is it possible for the remote machine to recognize when a texture or asset has already been loaded? I would also assume that all Cosmos assets would already be loaded for Cloud rendering and wouldn’t need to be uploaded. This could save a lot of loading time on large projects.

Hi, Matthew,

Chaos Cloud can reuse previously uploaded data to speed up the upload of new scene versions.

When you submit a new version of a job, Chaos Cloud checks whether any of its data has already been uploaded. If it finds a match, only the changes are uploaded. This can make subsequent submissions much faster, especially when only a small part of the scene has changed.

For this reason, we recommend keeping your existing jobs in Chaos Cloud while working on different iterations of your project. This allows previously uploaded data to be reused and reduces the amount of data transferred with each submission.

You can find more information in the Chaos Cloud documentation.
