Will VRay be updated to run with Max 6 when it comes out?
I would like to think so.

Knowing the VRay development team, they probably have had this in the works for longer than we’ve known about the release of Max6. I would guess that it’s a non-issue at this point and the transition will be seamless.
I hope so 586, I just did the preorder thing

I would imagine that it shouldn’t be any problem at all considering that Max 6 is going to be pretty much the same as 5 but with the added features like PFlow and Mental Ray.

i found this on the cgarchitect.com website:
“Vray will be available for MAX 6, when MAX 6 is out. The MAX 5 version will not work, surely, but Chaosgroup is already working with Discreet to get a version for MAX 6 out in the market as fast as possible. So, most likely, when you get your copy of MAX 6, you’ll just need to download VRay.”
Its a quote from Alexander Bicahlo who works at Discreet.

We do have a recompile of VRay for Max 6; it mostly works, but still needs some serious testing.
