a few million thats for sure … but the new build will do as many as you like.. ![]()
i have a scene with 4.4 million faces and i am having quite few problems with it crashing.
Any thoughts on how to stop it crashing?
increase your page file …
and bye more memory … 4 million is a damn lot… good luck
using the new version with a combination of vray proxies and using xref im working on a scene with approximately 20 million polys and it renders nicely. no slow downs due to ram issues.
Natty, I am running a dual 2.4 amd with 2 gig of ram, you would think this would be sufficient to render a scene like this!
Bring on version 1.1!!!
tell me … is it sufficient to move around the scene ?
im running a dual Xeon machine with £2000 graphics card and 4 gig of ram and i think it would still struggle… (work pc)
yeah Bring on 1.1 in full affect ![]()
As you can see it’s possible to render 3 Billion Faces…
I wanna see the person that uses this polycount in Production ![]()
With the n Version we rendered 5,5mio uninstanced Poly’s.
(No instance Feature used in System!) but we had to use the /3GB switch
regards
Without instancing the geometry I ma gotten close to 7 million
With instancing, I am gotten well into the billions… like 4 billion
With the new vray proxy, the same may be true…
Hi
Are these figures for a production scene ie (loads of textures varied, opacity and reflections and refraction with lots of objects) or are they just purely polygons and a few textures? I would be interested in finding out am currently working on an outdoor scene which comes up to just over 7million polygons and it would save a lot of fiddling and hassle if it could be rendered in one pass ![]()
