Please, update your knowledge with our documentation because a lot of things are changed since Phoenix 2.
The link I’ve shared already answer to your question - Refractive index option is now in Particle shader node (in Cellular/Bubbles/Splash rollout)
how to set this parameter 1.7 in phoenix 3.0?
If you are in Point mode, this parameter does not affect the rendering neither in Phoenix 2, or 3. You need to set the Mode to Cellular/Bubbles/Splash and then a new rollout will appear with the Refractive index parameter. However, in Point mode the rendering is faster, but there are no refractions and thus - the refractive index is not used.
Cheers!
n this lesson, is it better to use a point?
I just can not get the same effect
Yup, Point mode will be better for dust and sand, you don’t need the bubbles in this case. How does your setup look so far?
Hmm, looks like your fragments might be moving too slow and they cannot pull the smoke along. How many frames into the simulation is this screenshot?
but what about the rendering and density, etc?
I can not achieve the same result for 5 days already
is it possible to switch from the 3rd phoenix to the 2nd under license?
that it does not work in 3 work
Everything in this setup you can do with Phoenix 2 you can also do with Phoenix 3 ![]()
Let’s start from the beginning and step by step you’ll get there. You need to fix your simulation first before you start adjusting render settings.
The shape of the smoke does not look like the tutorial video and this seems caused by slow moving fragments. The movement of the fragments is the most important thing in your setup because they are carrying the fluid.
If I see correctly, the fragments are moving too slow and they cannot leave the same traces of dust like in the tutorial. Speed them up so they will be at this position at frame 10, then run the sim again.
distance of 25 frames, on the 6th frame it cuts into the wall
tell me please how to make the right settings?
I want to see clearly that the edges of the cobblestones were visible, and a cloud of smoke was optimally tuned
customize your plug-in is how to win the lottery, already a million settings recalculated and propendril. and still do not get the right result
how to remove the density of clouds, show stones?
Tell me pliz! I urgently need to finish …
Are you reading the Phoenix docs site?
I read, but the cloud of fine particles does not become smaller in the settings, it is the field close to the particle
I can’t understand how you want it to look. Do you have an image or a video reference
