Is it just rumor or are there really plans for vray to be used w/in Maya?..this would be great.

I believe the goal is to port V-Ray to Maya after 1.1 for 3dsmax is released. But as for how long after is anyone’s guess.

1.1 is 9 month late so i would not expect a maya version soon.
We do nothing then Vray 1.1 will be a standalone Version (like MentalRay).

neither do I, and I´m even a native German speaker :lol:
I think he means that it will be a stand alone application that will have plugins so it can interface with the major 3d packages. In the same vein as Next Limit’s Real Flow/Wave programs perhaps.
