Hi I am wondering what would be a typical amount of time for Enscape to create a scene for a 3 story building full of MEP elements? Is it a leave on overnight or an hour or should be quicker?
Also the architects model has been created from and IFC file originally created in ArchiCAD are there any issues using these sort of models?
Anyone have any tips for preparing the model prior to starting Enscape?
Hi @mark.silcock It depends on your project and your hardware. Have you already signed in for the 14 day trial of Enscape? This way you can test it on your own to get a better feeling.

I have purchased a month as I wanted to save the scene.
Running a i5 6600K @ 4GHz and a 1070GTX, 16gig of ram SSD HD.
Project minus the arch model has taken 3+ hours to load in Enscape and Revit seems to have hung as I can’t get to the menus to save the exe.
I am guessing I need to break the project up into floors?
Here is one I did earlier as a trial just of the roof plant, need to sort out the materials which can be a pain for MEP objects.
Hoping to use VR with our projects as well going forward for coordination meetings etc.

3 hours really does sound unusually long for Enscape - even for larger projects (>1GB in Revit project files size) we usually measure export times below 15 minutes! Could you please send your Enscape log files to our support using the [Send Feedback] button on the Enscape ribbon? We would love to take a look at what’s going on!
Where would I find the log files?
MEP model file is 300meg structure is 270meg.
This maybe a silly question but where are the medium high ultra settings?
How long does your model take to load in Revit? Usually it should take a comparable amount of time to start Enscape as Revit has to send the project data to Enscape.
You can save loading time by dividing your project by section boxes or hiding not needed elements etc.

Just send us feedback via the [Feedback] button (1), you have to check the box “Log files” in the following dialog.
The loading time shouldn’t be connected to the rendering quality settings, but you will find these settings in the Enscape settings (2).

Edit, found the quality setting, couldnt see it for looking!
So I have narrowed it down to the structural and architectural models that are linked into our MEP model, if I unlink all models the MEP model opens within minutes in Enscape. If I try to open the structural model or Architectural model in Enscape on their own they take forever and seem to hang around the 34% mark in Revit.
I think both these models are originally IFC files converted to Revit models. Is that going to be the cause of the slow load times?
When opening the IFC files in Enscape I get the following error message when it finally opens.

Thanks a lot for reporting. That may very well be the case of your exceptionally long loading times - we’ll look into this and let you know once we’ve found a solution for the issue!
