Next 2 and Next 1 render different

I have an old scene which Next 2 renders much brighter than Next 1. And I tested with Vray 3.6, the result is same to Vray Next 1.

Attachment is the scene.
Run the commands to reproduce:
> YourVray4.1Path/bin/vray.exe -sceneFile=e1.vrscene -imgFile=4.1.jpg
> YourVray4.2Path/bin/vray.exe -sceneFile=e1.vrscene -imgFile=4.2.jpg
e1.zip (47.6 KB)

Is it an know issue? It cloud be reproduced easily.

It might be something else, please send me the max scene.

Hi,Lele,

I’ve read the thread.

The thead was talked between 2018-10 and 2019-05. So the thread was comparing Next/Next1 with 3.6.
Accoring to Next release time:
- Next was on 2018-9
- Next 1 was on 2018-11
- Next 2 was on 2019-6

The core problem for me is Next2 renders more brighter than Next1. Is this a known issue in Next 1?

Hi, slizer,

The scene is here : https://forums.chaosgroup.com/filedata/fetch?id=1048537

Can you please share the Max scene?

Duh me, sorry.
Glad Peter sorted it.

Thanks for the provided files and information. This is a known issue - there is a difference in the GI between visible and invisible Mesh Lights. Our developers are already informed about the matter. As a workaround and to match the results, set the invisible value of your mesh lights to 0.

Thank you Aleksandar. The workaround works.
