Noise threshold - Global DMC?

Hello,

I was wondering if somebody could explain to me what the ‘noise threshold’ under Global DMC does? I always seem to leave it at its default.

to control the noise in my renders I only ever change the ‘Noise Threshold’ under ‘Bucket image Sampler’ or ‘Progressive image Sampler’.

Am I missing something by not changing the Noise Threshold under Global DMC?

V-Ray has options to set different noise threshold value for the Image sampler (Anti-aliasing) or DMC sampler / shading (which includes glossy reflections / refractions, GI, e.t.c sampling).
With the new automatic subdivision calculation (Use local subdivs - Off) and Minimum shading rate 6, there is no need to adjust the Noise threshold in the DMC section in most scenarios.
