Nvidia Driver update

At this moment, Chaos still recommends NVIDIA driver for V-Ray GPU version 572.16 (see V-Ray GPU | GPU rendering by Chaos). When will this be updated, because there are already 5 newer versions.

Yes, we update it whenever we conduct some tests and confirm its stability. We are currently in the process of doing so.

Hi,

Why do you want to use a new driver? Is there a specific application that requires it?
Like what my colleague Aleksander mentioned, we are testing a new drive. I hope next week we can verify it is stable and could be the new recommended driver.
Some of the newer drivers have serious issues, which we reported to Nvidia. This delayed us updating the recommended drivers

YES. Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

I can confirm that Substance 3D Sampler crashes on startup.

What should I do in this case ?

Hello Muhammed, I see the recommendated driver has been updated to “NVIDIA driver for V-Ray GPU is version 576.80”. I cannot find this driver on the Nvidia website. When I search for 576.80 there are no results. When I search manually for the RTX A4000, it is not in the list. The previous recommendet drivers was R570 U1 (572.16)​, the latest in the list is
R570 U7 (573.4 Release Date:Thu Jul 17, 2025. Can you please advise?

Hi Richard,

You should be able to use Geforce studio drivers with your Quadro card. Please use driver 576.80
