Hello, I’ve bought my Oculus Quest 2 for my architectural presentations using Sketchup 2021 and Enscape 3.4.1 . I know that Enscape supports Oculus Rift but since it wasn’t available in my country, and I’ve seen videos of people using Enscape with Quest 2 I’ve bought it. There is no problem connecting with computer, only when i activate VR on Enscape I get the message " Searching for head mounted display" and the view on the Quest freezes. The problem is that whatever cable (Type C to USB-A 3.0) that i’ve used, i get the warning “USB 3.0 recommended”. Is it only because of cable? Will this cable be enough “PremiumCord USB-C - USB 3.0 A (USB 3.1 generation 2, 3A, 10Gbit/s)” because there is no Anker seller in my country If not can you please tell me the cable requirements about the data transfer speed.
@nibuja , thanks for your inquiry and welcome to our Forum.
In this case this does indeed seem to be caused by a non-compatible cable as proper data transfer speed is utmost important for VR - The cable you mentioned should do the trick though. Of course make sure to also get one with a the length of your choice that will be suitable to move around semi-freely or at least not tie you too close to the machine.
Just so you’re aware, if you get/own a capable router you may also use the Quest 2 wireless, in case you wish to not be tethered to the machine at all for example.
Let me know in case you have any further questions regarding this subject!
