OpenVDB: Unable to reduce noise

Hey,
I have a problem here. Which knobs do I have to twist in order to reduce the noise in OpenVDB volumes? Take a look at the screenshot, you can clearly see the noise.
I tried the minimum shading rate parameter, raising min. AA samples, and I tried to raise the samples parameter for the VolumeGrid in the effects rollout. Nothing helped, the noise level stayed the same. Could somebody help me out with this?

Hello,

Try to reduce or turn off completely the Light Cache Speedup value in the Volume Grid settings.
This should help with the noise but it could make the renders slower.
