Why can’t I use a pattern from the distribution tab in another place. I can’t even manipulate it like a texture, invert, cc, etc. it’s dumb
Calling a feature as dumb is not very helpful to anyone. If you have ideas how to improve it, go to Corona ideas portal and submit new feature request: Corona Ideas Portal
The textures themselves are located here:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ChaosScatter3dsMaxXXXX\DistributionMapPatterns
You can probably modify some and copy them there (haven’t tested it yet).

If I remember correctly, the patterns in ForesPack are small too. Perhaps there is a technical reason for that.
