Perpetual Upgrade VRay 6 to VRay 7

Yesterday I tried to upgrade my perpetual VRay 6 license to VRay 7 which should be 825 euro according this page: V-Ray perpetual upgrade pricing | Chaos

However when clicking the upgrade button on my VRay 6 license the price was 1650 euro. So I clicked the buy button to see if the 50% discount was added, but instead the purchase was made instantly without any confirmation screen at all.

This was of course not my intention, so I wrote a ticket (#452886) to support. Can someone please assist me ??

So, is it actually possible to upgrade V-Ray perpetual license from V-Ray 6 to V-Ray 7? I didn’t know and there fore hadn’t upgraded.

Hi. We are having the same exact issue. Tried to upgrade two licenses from Vray6 to Vray7, but when I try upgrading the first one, the price suddenly doubles. Says 1650€ for one seat. I’ve contacted support, but all they did was telling me that they could upgrade it manually for me. I asked a second time about the price, but no answer since.
I’d love to know what the actual price is. Per seat/license/whatever. Two people in the same office of the same company using their own Vray copy at the same time, that’s the situation.

I wonder what’s going on over there. We tried to upgrade in December, but “upgrade” option was simply missing from the interface. They fixed that, but now the pricing is wrong. I’ll start a new project in three weeks and I really would like to be able to use Vray7 by then. Hope support gets back to me soon.

Support got back to me and the issue was resolved, it’s 825€ for each upgrade. For future googlenauts: your 50% discount for upgrading from 6 to 7 will not be applied, hence you pay the full price of 1650€ per seat. I’m not sure this can be solved without support at the moment, maybe in the future they will fix it. Best is to write a ticket and be patient.
