CPU is supported. However, it is not supported by GPU.
Thanks for the feedback @kissmaker
I have added to our GPU roadmap, could you please explain when and why you use this option? instead of the other variation controls present in V-Ray
This will allow me to pump up the priority of this request
Best,
Muhammed
Hi Muhammed, +1 here
I dont know any other similar variation control in vray for this scenario (might be wrong) tiles are not geometry, but texture based, bercon generates tile ID, can be used for random offset/scale/rotate. There is some more complex approach in OSL but it does not work so well and is lot more complicated to setup - even do not know if it works on gpu. See examples below. It is very important feature for me.
thanks, cheers, Filip
Thank you for explaining your use case and the provided examples, it is very helpful to us. This has high priority now on the GPU roadmap, I will see what we can do about it
Best,
Muhammed
…and then also make it work in Vantage please!
Hey @Morne
If we support it in V-Ray GPU, it doesn’t mean it will work in Vantage.
There is a separate development team for Chaos Vantage, I will message them about your request.
Best,
Muhammed
Hi Muhammed, any good news on this? I am missing this feature in many projects…
