I am working in Revit 2022 with Enscape 3.2.2+53717, and I’ve developed some custom materials using Revit’s procedural textures, and now that I’ve spent this time building the materials, I open Enscape to find that only the base colors are showing up. I know this has been an ongoing issue with Enscape, but it’s been years at this point, and it would be nice to have Enscape interpret the procedural textures and allow us to have them translate into the rendered views. Any updates on this would be greatly appreciated. ;(

We would love to add support for procedural textures in Revit, but I’m afraid our hands are actually tied here - Revit itself does not translate the required technical information to us which would be used by Enscape to render the materials as they appear in Revit. We may be able to produce a workaround solution to this eventually, but that may also prove itself as either impossible perhaps or simply require too much effort.
I will forward your Feedback once again to our product management team, but I’m afraid for now I would not hold my breath when it comes to a “fix” being added anytime soon. Hopefully, you will still be able to make use of Enscape and I’m sorry for not having any more positive news for you.
Thanks for the response, understood. Perhaps I need to further familiarize myself with Enscape’s material editor in that case. Maybe that functionality that Revit offers for procedurally generated textures could be duplicated in some way in Enscape’s editor (admittedly it may be already, I just may not have used it enough!) Learning to use Generic Appearance Types in Revit or materials and images is simple and easy to use. The results are beautiful in Enscape.
