I reported this a few times before. Now with the latest official release of 5.1 on Maya 2022 i still get the same fringing/banding in my renderings, Those are even more visible with denoiser.
I tried on a new scene but I get the same banding.

ah, I didn’t go further with 5.1 than rendering in the VFB. I can confirm that on 2020 this is the same problem and only with OCIO display correction enabled.
I checked my renderings in Nuke. They seem to be ok there. Only VFB gets it wrong.
We’ve found the problem and we’ll be releasing a fix for it soon.
