It would be nice to at least have the option to keep the pivot point at the center of the simulator. Why? Because whey you want to change the grid size in Z you have to reposition the simulator if you want to keep your Ocean Fill level where it was. Normally, we want ocean fill to just stay at zero in Z.
There may be other ways to achieve what I am after. Adjusting the grid size in Z could automatically be cenetered, adjusting both top and bottom equally like the way X and Y work now. This is one option.
Another potential solution, and possibly even more useful would be to define the Ocean Fill Up (and the render settings for it as well) based on the position of another object (null). This way we could set the ocena fillup level once with the null and then even animate the position of the simulator in Z without having to counter animate the ocean fill-up percentage. I think this is my favorite idea. Use a null (or other object’s pivot) to define the ocean fill up. Phoenix would look at the Z position of the null and calculate the proper percentage of the simulator’s height to get the ocean plane to be at the level of the null.
Thanks.
