I’m doing an interior render where I get noise in the darker areas of the image.
I got 3 points lights and two rectangle lights.
I use IR and LC, and Adaptice DMC for Image Sampler.
The DMC Sampler settings:
Adaptive Amount: 0.85
Min Samples: 16
Noise thresh: 0.002
Subdiv Mult: 4
I can’t seem to find the correct section or setting to get the noise out.
(I’ll upload an image later)
Re: Reducing noise in dark areas.
…seems that I forgot to adjust the Noise Threshold on the Image Sampler… oops… Time to call it a weekend I guess.
Re: Reducing noise in dark areas.
what about the noise threshold? Never used it! Should it go up or down?
Re: Reducing noise in dark areas.
Lowering it will reduce noise - but increase render times.
Re: Reducing noise in dark areas.
didnt really made any difference in the noise in the dark areas.
Re: Reducing noise in dark areas.
Then you might have to increase the subdivs for your lights.
(maybe also the DMC sampler.)
