Hey everyone,
I’ve been troubleshooting this issue for the past week and can’t seem to figure it out. None of my Revit materials are rendering properly in Enscape; they just show up blank or without texture. However, Enscape materials work completely fine.
I’ve attached a screenshot showing what I mean: the tan brick on the left wall is an Enscape material, while the wall directly in front uses Revit’s common brick material for wainscoting, which appears as solid white, not rendering correctly.
I’m currently using the most up-to-date version of Enscape, and I’ve tried restarting, reloading materials, and reapplying textures, but no luck so far.
Has anyone else run into this or know what might be causing it?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you for contacting us at Enscape!
What you’re running into is a common issue between Revit and Enscape. Enscape needs access to the original image files to render materials correctly. If it can’t find hard copies of these or doesn’t know where to look, the materials may appear white in Enscape, even if they still appear fine in Revit.
To resolve this, you’ll need to manually add the following locations to Revit’s Additional Rendering Path option:
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\1\Mats
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\2\Mats
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\3\Mats
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\4
- Any custom material libraries
- The Enscape Offline Material Library, if applicable
This will force Revit to always use the hard copies of these images, and Enscape should be able to consistently locate the missing textures.
Thanks for the hint . I still have the old workstation so I will dublicate the path from there.
Hi Hayley
Problem solved. Thanks for your help.
