Saved Views show do not load model in view, Revit 2024/Enscape 4.16

One of our users has had ongoing issues with saved views in models in Revit 2024 loading to a blank screen. He is able to recreate the views as needed, but it takes out all the convenience of saved views when it comes time for rendering on older projects. Am I missing something obvious here? Has anyone seen this before? As far as I can tell, it’s only happening for models loaded in Revit 2024, but we haven’t tested extensively (deadlines, etc.).

He’s using Enscape 4.16.

Hi @katlin_seagraves ,

Thank you for reaching out!

Without logs, we can’t say for sure what the issue is, but I bet what the user is experiencing is a known bug related to a 2 GB .NET data stream limit, which can cause models to appear blank or fail to load in Enscape, particularly on larger projects. We are happy to let you know that this has been fixed in Enscape 4.18!

We strongly recommend updating to Enscape 4.18 to resolve this issue permanently. You can download the latest stable release from your Chaos account.

In the meantime, if you need an immediate workaround before updating, you can try reducing the amount of data Enscape needs to process by:

  • Turning off linked models
  • Hiding high-detail objects or worksets
  • Using a section box to limit the visible scope of the model

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions!
