Screen freezes when I press "RENDER" button (3DS MAX)

Hello everyone,
I’ve just got a new job and I’ve installed 3DS MAX 2018 (trial) and Corona 1.6 (trial), but I have a problem.
As soon as I begin rendering the screen freezes, I cannot do anything.
If the scene is EMPTY, no light nothing, it would render for about 700 passes (1-2 mins) and if I open another software it freezes. The CPU is being used by 80+% during empty rendering. And if I try to render with anything in the scene then it freezes a second after I press the “RENDER” button. I can see the silhouette of the object, but then it freezes. It seems like it doesn’t have enough strength, but it’s impossible coz its a 4.4Ghz CPU!!!
Please help

(this is also submitted in a form of support ticket, we just need a little bit more info, and will provide solution asap)

Hi,
Corona 1.6 Latest.

Solved over the support portal. The culprit was some kind of hardware malfunction, probably due to overclocking.
