I’d love to be able to use the shadow density with VRay lights.

no, sorry, I have the some problem. Too hard shadows. Is there a way to get smoother shadows with VRayLights?
what do you guy’s mean hard shadows ?
do you mean the edges of the shadows ?
hard or soft shadows depend on how large your vrayLights are…small ones tend to create hard/well defined shadows , while is the opposite for large vraylights…w/ soft shadows…

The color swatch and density value, in Shadow Parameters, can be used if you turn off Transparent shadows in the VRayShadows params.

also thanks cocolas, i used a vraylight sphere and it´s close to my object. the shadow isn´t smooth enough so i will try it with a plane.
