Hi all!
Only a few months to Siggraph 07 in San Diego and i thought we could use this as a ‘meet and greet’ thread for this years event. A few of us met up last year with great success and hopefully we can repeat it this year. 
Anyway, im coming. And egz has also booked his conference pass.

looks like i’ve cleared the path for me to go. it’ll be nice to meet the users of the forum in person. is there any sort of official vray users gathering? or is that just going to be the closest bar? 
Its a bit of a long trip for me (28 hours travel time last summer, thanks to 14 hour delay in NY), but its my second home and I look forward to returning. Its going to be tough to stay away from the beach though…
Wasn’t Siggraph in San Diego in like 2001? I might have to stay away from that club we closed things down at last time… hopefully none of those same bouncers are still there
Actually it was 2003, my first and only time at Siggraph, am looking forward to possibly going back this year…
I’ve never attended Siggraph, but I might have the opportunity to do so this year. I’ve looked at the website, but I’m having a hard time understanding exactly what to expect at the conference and what I could get out of it. Could any of you give me some insight into Siggraph?

well none of you came down here to see cricket and have a drink with me so why should i go up there to see siggraph hehehe (might have something to do with me not having money to get up there though. but i do have enough to have a drink though lol)

Yes, we should. I went to the last San Diego siggraph and there was a cgarchitect meet-up at a pretty good pub as I recall. I’ll see if Chris Nichols remembers where it was…
looks like I’m going to make it, but only for the expo days (+Avc)
which reminds me, anyone know who’s giving away exhibits+ passes this year?
