We aren’t 100% sure yet, but we are hoping to be there.
I’m hoping to get there for one day of the exhibit. Dang, what a difference from the days we used to set up camp for a week!

We will have our regular user event, and we will be around, but we don’t have a booth this year (sadly there’s not much point in recent years).

Well, the exhibition floor has been getting smaller and smaller each year, and since it means there isn’t much to see, there are fewer people as well. However in reverse, the prices for a booth have been increasing all the time. The conference itself is great, with the courses and lectures and so forth, and I’m looking forward to that, as well as our user event.

It’s a shame you guys aren’t going to have a booth… I always enjoy picking your brains there. Which day is the user event..?
I’m going - really looking forward to seeing everyone at the VRay event.
This is embarrassing - maybe I should stop spreading misinformation… There has to my knowledge always been a Chaos event at Siggraph and I could have sworn I read about it. However I haven’t registered for any event yet… Ya know what they say about “assuming” … Hopefully there will be an announcement soon.
So - what *are* the interesting events at Siggraph this year? Any info about the unofficial 3ds Max gathering?
Definitely. I just looked on the web for the Chaos Group user event, and couldn’t find anything apart from the 10th Anniversary get together (which I RSVPed for). Is there anything I’m missing?
Even though we don’t have a booth ourselves, we have a number of demos and presentations around the show floor and you can find us there. There will be more information on our website soon.

here is more info about our presence at SIGGRAPH:
We are not going to have a booth ourselves but will be present at our partners’ booths.
Look for us at the NVIDIA, BOXX and Trinity/Evermotion booths. We will be there almost all day long during the three days of the exhibition so you can stop by at any time.
We will be featuring the latest improvements and new features in V-Ray for 3ds Max and Maya as well the two new additions to our portfolio: V-Ray for Nuke and V-Ray for Katana.
This year instead of a booth at SIGGRAPH we will be throwing a party for all our users, fans and partners. Those of you who would like to join the Chaos gang at the party, please write an email to vray10@chaosgroup.com. Tomorrow we will have detailed schedule of all our presentations at SIGG, please check this thread again! If you have any further questions, please drop us a line at vray10@chaosgroup.com
