what a shizzl izzl.. we are years into enscape - it made well progress, even in parts nobody uses like the eco energy bla bla … BUT we still dont have a proper camera sync that works with 2PP..
its practically normal ot use 2pp in sketchup and shift the image so its frame nicely… its also normal to setup light time etc inside the scene… why would i need to set this up separately in enscape scenes… and if i do edit scnee view an pan in enscape and save it - it fu**s up sketchup scene…
although aim happy with lots of stuff, rendering quality etc. all nice and good sometimes i think the actual devs should listen to customers and not to policy makers… lets fix some stuff befoer having even more useless features and stuff nobody was asking for in the first place
…I’ll never understand why Enscape hasn’t implemented this standard feature—and yes, I don’t care about Enscape scenes either. The music gets played in the CAD software (in my case, SkUp) and not in any downstream rendering tool.
Meanwhile, due to this and many other shortcomings—such as the unreliable Chaos Browser, which refuses to run on some of our company’s machines and according to our IT admins, is somehow insecure (though I don’t understand any of it myself), have to invest my time in testing alternative tools, which I neither have the desire nor the time for.
So Enscape - Why don’t you finally fit the fourth wheel to the car instead of setting off with it incomplete?
Blame Sketchup for not having any kind of normal camera controls. Set the scene in Enscape, set the pitch to zero, send the view to Sketchup. Don’t use 2 point, just make the FOV in Enscape large enough to fit everything, then compose/crop in Photoshop. You have to give up composing the scene perfectly with the desired aspect ratio and render more than needed.
Having tried to get consistent results between various 3D software over the years, they all handle 2 point differently, you should be able to avoid it entirely.
that is so “notasolution” as it can get…im a worker, not a workarounder… from us humans is expected that we work so can we expect from our tools that they do so … 5d chess has no place in fast workflows and getting stuff done imho… …
anyway… its nice to see see were enscape ended up after all the time… but for its worth its we are almost at a point where “traditional” rendering will be obsolete anyway…
what is laughable is how the big guys in the industry try to use ai tools and sell them when they are faster better and cheaper to use without the company umbrellas around it… just think of nb2 in g** ai studio.. works like a charm, is cheap, gets stuff done.. .who needs any of these shitty workflow “enhancements” that offer merely more bloat again over a core features..
