Smoke flickering during resimulation

Good afternoon,
I am trying to create a slow-motion animation with smoke from the tires.

Here is how I created this animation:

  1. I calculated the base animation at normal speed, as shown in the first example.
  2. Slowed down a part of the car animation (from frames 185 to 285) using the Re-time tool.
  3. Configured the resimulation following the manual. All the parameters are attached in the screenshots.

As you can see, the slowed-down simulation shows jerky movements. The manual mentions that this can happen, but I’d like to find a solution to make it smooth.

As far as I understand, I should use the Time Bend Method set to General-Purpose in my case. However, as you can see, the result is not optimal.
For the resimulation, all objects inside the simulator were hidden, including the emitters, sources.

Could you advise what I might be doing wrong?
