Solaris velocity blur

Hey, im trying out solaris so might be wrong but it seems that moblur on geos with velocity attribute is alwasy calculated start on frame instead of center on frame, in the images below you can see that the moblur wont change when changing interval center.

An extra thing is that karma seems to read the amount of velocity very different from vray. so for examle velocity (10,0,0) will blur alot less in karma then in vray. Not sure whats correct here

Velocity is scaled correctly for a few weeks already and it still doesn’t work for you?

@bdancer

sorry i wasnt clear. the scling looks correct now! thanks!

i cant render center motion blur only start on frame. Basically the “intervall center” parameter doesnt work.

Is there a similar control in Karma? So I could debug/compare this issue?

As in the example below the interval of the object with velocity stays the same. It should be centered when interval is at 0. Also included an example of duration not working with geo samples.

in the example here you can see that there is no difference even with different interval values.

Geo samples control should be hidden, we’re rendering whatever samples Hydra is authoring for us…

Ok, here are current results:

Interval center = 0

For more duration I have to tweak camera shutter…

sorry, i meant geo blur. animated sphere with a cache after. but good to know about the samples

Interval center = 0

do you mean you fixed it or it works like that in your scene with the sphere with velocity?

Yes, I’ve added some changes. Will be in the next nightly.

sure, but its still incorrect result to what yu would get in obj/rop context

or are the shutter values not allowing anything past the values set because of hydra? so you need to bake down longer shutter from there for it to work?

Yes, I’ve added some changes. Will be in the next nightly.

sweet! thanks!
