Re: wo.. w … wonderful

You have to understand that dealing with glass, environment is everything, same as “chrome”…

Anyways, great work as usuall Maxer..

Really nice!

You always manage to render small scenes in a great way.
I’m interested in your scene setup!

Fantastic!! i’ve been trying to get some glass like that without succes!! please, if you can, share the file!!! It would me much more helpful than the screenshot of the settings!!! What loooks really sweet is that it doesnt look like its “absorving” any light, you know, i always get some dark glass, that doesnt let any light trough it, i wonder how this mat should look on a window panel?
Thanks !!

Terrific!! Looks great! Nothing more to say…

Great work…nothing more to say

Really nice , Maxer

Can you explain how you done the mesh? did you remove the face of the glass were there is wine? (See thread “rendering of a glass of wine”)

Thanks

yes, that’s exactly what i’ve done

wow !!

very impressive

i like it…

To say this is amazing would be an understatement. I’m having some problems making my wine glasses look decent, especially with wine in it. Any information you could share would be appreciated.

Thanks,

S.

Hi Maxer,

They look great , especcialy the reflections. I think though that the refraction at the top of the stems is incorrect for the glasses with wine/etc. in them.

Here’s some reference:

http://my.ort.org.il/givatram/boaz/Image/Wine.jpg

That’s because of the different transition between stem and top, and also camera angle imo

Actually I think it is a biproduct of the “romove inner faces” trick. I am looking forward to see what Vlado’s new refraction will do
