Support for Color correction and color mapping (HDRI) in environment slot

A bit of a niche request but I like to take some creative control over the vraysky and HDRIs.

When I put the vray sky into a color correction map and then into the environment map (or domelight for that matter) the sky breaks.

Also if I use the color map in the output panel in the VrayHDRI the same thing happens.

Cheers

You are talking about RT GPU right ? RT CPU must be identical to production Adv.

Edit: Actually there is a issue with the color map of Output + VRaySky in RT CPU, but Color Correction + VRaySky in RT CPU should be ok.

Nope I’m talking about CPU. I’m on the latest nightly and it’s been like this for as long as I can remember. Try putting a vraysky in a colour correction map and into the environment slot…

Looks fine (apart from the saturation slider which is a known issue in RT).

Well…yeah that’s what I’m after

And enabling colour mapping in VrayHDRI also has the same effect.

Any chance either of these will be added to RT’s capabilities? It’s pretty hard to do some more creative lighting when these two functions don’t work in RT :frowning:

Both issues are in the system and waiting for our merciful developers to fix them

Ah awesome  Good to know. Thanks!

the “Saturation of Color Correction map returns different result with RT” issue is now fixed.

:o great news

I’m sorry for the misunderstanding the fix is already available with the V-Ray 3.30
